The Evaporator is part of the refrigerant circuit and is used to cool the air.
Its primary function is to remove heat from the inside of the vehicle.
Liquid refrigerant is allowed to expand inside the evaporator which makes the evaporator cold. Air blown over the evaporator is cooled and dehumidified.
